Featuring the photographic works of: James Armstrong, Alan Bergman, Roy Blakey, Colin Clarke, Frank Derbas, Kenn Duncan, Joel Gordon, James Howell, Jack Mitchell, Lilo Raymond, and Arthur O. Whitney.

The SoHo Project Space’s second collaboration with The Male Image Archive presents a body of work in celebration of the 100TH birthday of the late William "Bill" Como (November 10, 1925 – January 1, 1989), co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of After Dark Magazine (May 1968 – January 1983) and Dance Magazine. The selected works featured in this exhibition come from a body of over 1000 photographs that have been obtained over the past 3 years through private sale, estate, and auction. This exhibition continues the series showcasing the Private Collection of Gallery Director, Rocco L. Buonpane. 

A limited amount of work will be available for sale not presented on walls. 


Special Events

An Evening with Uncle Roy
Closing Reception: Thursday, December 4TH from 4–8 PM
Featuring conversations with Keri Pickett the niece of After Dark celebrated photographer Roy Blakey and known photographer, author, and filmmaker. This evening will feature a sneak peek in Keri's upcoming biopic Uncle Roy and discussions on its conception and inspiration. There will be a selection of never before seen prints from Roy's Archives available to purchase strictly on this evening. All funds from sales will go to the post-production of Uncle Roy

After Dark: A DiscoVery
Closing Reception Dance Party: Thursday, December 4TH from 8–10 PM
With Julius’ bar resident DJ Yestergay: Kyle Supley, featuring the best disco from the After Dark era.
